We are seeking a Solutions Architect to join our team based in London. We have an opportunity for an experienced and highly capable Solutions Architect to join our team in London. As a Solutions Architect, you are a force for positive change and a leader in our business; bringing the enterprise level architectural and domain knowledge to our projects and clients and aiding them in being more nimble, capable and productive.
As one of the leading Solution Architects for our clients in the region you will work on a range of projects; this is a senior position, with significant responsibility and authority. Your work will prime Sigma’s Architecture and positioning of products for our large strategic clients; designing and delivering a range of architectural solutions for programmes and projects across multiple strategically important domains.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR DAY
This isn’t a conventional SA role; the right person will also have the opportunity to broaden their professional knowledge and experience beyond what you might expect; perhaps seeking to grow a transformational project, owning all the solution architecture once it’s been socialised and agreed, or working cross-stack with a range of other teams e.g. pre-sales or leading after-implementation retrospectives.
You will also be responsible for the conceptual and functional design of Sigma’s catalogue driven solutions for customer implementation, refreshing and driving this via design sessions with everyone from customers to 3rd party vendors and internal stakeholders; all the while keeping an eye on the big picture and the solution outcomes our customers require. This role reports to and works closely with the lead Project Manager in Hong-Kong, giving you direct access to clients and allowing you to strategize how to embed our products into clients that require them.
Whether it’s creating and maintaining business requirements, user cases, interface specifications and functional requirements documentation to ensure our products develop and client requirements are appropriately captured; you will lead the team from a technical standpoint. Analytical and critical design thinking combined with a deep knowledge of Solution Architecture and good interpersonal or multidisciplinary interface skills are essential, as you’ll work with a huge range of internal staff, external interfaces and clients to identify and drive change, often functioning as the ‘go to’ expert.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
To excel in the role, it’s likely that you will have significant experience as a Solution Architect with an Order Management background, working on large complex or transformational projects.
Your team and colleagues will be across a number of different locations and comprises a number of different skillsets and backgrounds, so experience working within and leading cross-functional teams that are geographically distributed will be important to your success; you’ll also need to lead the technical teams at times, sometimes even rolling up your sleeves to lead from the front ‘hands on’.
You’ll also possess good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships up to and including senior level internally or externally. Experience with a range of software delivery models such as Agile, Scrum, Iterative etc. would be beneficial, as well as the ability to problem-solve technical issues arising from scope, requirements or design changes ‘in transit’ during a project.
